Kenya NGOs Day
Kenya Day is a yearly event that that brings together Dutch Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that are actively involved in development projects in Kenya. The participants come together to exchange views and ideas on various issues related to development in Kenya. In 2009, Kenya Day was held on 21st of November with the theme: The Effect of the Dutch Development Cooperation in Kenya”. About 70 NGOs participated in the event with an overall attendance of more than 200 people.

Gender and Communication – how does one communicate with the local people and how to involve women in the project - by Max Kofi.
Capacity Building - for organizations and volunteers is crucial for the growth of an organization - by Lucy Kamau of Oxfam Novib.
Small-scale Business and Micro Financing - by Dr. Rentia Krijnen-Hendrikx of Etten-Leur
Mr. Ron de Zwarte of Jansen Poultry Equipment in Barneveld, shared with participants about starting a poultry farm in Kenya for the NGOs.
